I’m a Christian

By Adam - Last updated: Wednesday, January 20, 2010

I’m a Christian not because I’ve worked, but because He worked and continues to work.
I’m a Christian not because of my faithfulness, but because of His faithfulness.
I’m a Christian not because He chose me and I had no say in the matter, but because I responded to His call by simply trusting in Him as my risen Lord and Savior.
I’m a Christian and I believe that the road to Hell is paved with a lack of faith in the risen Lord Jesus and is demonstrated by bad works. Even as a Christian, I do bad works from time to time, but it’s who I am in Christ that matters for salvific purposes.
I’m a Christian and I do not believe that we should ever do evil because grace abounds. I believe this is an insult to Jesus Christ and the work He’s done for us.
I’m a Christian and I believe that we should never side with evil that good may come of it. We should be people of action, not people of results.
I’m a Christian and I believe that men should be the pastor of their own home and are responsibility for the spiritual climate in the home. While each family member is responsible for their own choices before God, the things taught in the home are the husband’s/father’s responsibility.
I’m a Christian and I believe it’s always the right time to do the right thing.
I’m a Christian and I believe that our works don’t save us nor do they keep us saved, but if we continue in good works out of a right heart, they will help us grow up in Christ and we will be given more authority in heaven when we get there.
I’m a Christian and I believe that we should always be prepared to rebuke, judge, exhort, challenge, sharpen and encourage those who need it.
I’m a Christian and I believe that we should always place the needs of others above our own.
I’m a Christian and I believe that we should love always which at times requires us to be harsh. We should never be apathetic.
I’m a Christian and I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation for all who believe!

re: Scott Brown

By Adam - Last updated: Wednesday, January 20, 2010

I can hardly believe my eyes. There are so many Scott Brown supporters out there. He believes abortion should simply be ‘regulated’ and that it’s a woman’s choice. His own website shows the error of his ways where he states “this decision should ultimately be made by the woman”. Folks, stand for life, not phonies!

Protesting the Planned Parenthood Young Leaders Luncheon

By Adam - Last updated: Sunday, January 17, 2010

On Tuesday, November 10th, 2009, we, the Intercessors for Life, publicly rebuked the Planned Parenthood Young Leaders at their luncheon in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana.

According to their website, this was their “first ever Live Action Lunch!” and attendees were told “Planned Parenthood of Indiana (PPIN) Director of Advocacy, Sonia Santana and Statewide Community Organizer, Katie Blair” would teach you what it takes to be an advocate for reproductive justice.”

Attendees were also told “This presentation will arm you with all of the tools and information you need to help make a difference in the lives of Hoosier women and men. Learn direct action organizing, coalition building and effective legislative advocacy techniques.”

So, we were ready and prepared to rebuke them for supporting the murder of unborn children and turning it into a business! Below are the videos we took that day.

In this first video, a number of youth were there for a separate event. Their reactions tour protest were surprising!

Rudy Guerrero, the leader of Intercessors for Life, preaching while I shot video from across the street.

Here, they come out to take video and photo of us. I guess they were trying to intimidate us. That’s not going to work!

Protest at Betty Cockrum’s house, CEO of Planned Parenthood of Indiana

By Adam - Last updated: Sunday, January 17, 2010

On Friday morning, January 1st, 2010, in single digit temperatures, we, the Intercessors for Life, publicly rebuked Betty Cockrum at her home in downtown Indianapolis. Betty is the CEO of Planned Parenthood of Indiana. We reminded her that she needs to repent before it’s too late and that her paganism and idolatry (as seen by many religious icons on her front porch) will not save her. Only the risen Lord Jesus Christ can provide the forgiveness and salvation she needs if she repents and calls out to Him in faith.

Pastors, rise up and stand for life

By Adam - Last updated: Wednesday, January 13, 2010

Is it not a shame to our church leadership that the pew, not the pulpit, has led the cause for life in this country? May we as leaders rise up and become defenders of unborn persons as our faithful friends already have. Let it not be said of us, “Apathy became them and the young had no voice.”

If you are a Pastor, please join me and Personhood USA on Sanctity of Life Sunday, January 24, in declaring Personhood for all human beings, both born and unborn, and by leading or aiding Personhood efforts in your state and the states surrounding you.

Are they all yours?

By Adam - Last updated: Wednesday, January 13, 2010

I went grocery shopping for the family this morning, and, as usual, bought a lot of food. There are 9 of us but 8 of us eat solid food as our 6 month old is still nursing.

I’m used to comments from others about our family size, comments (in the form of questions) like “Don’t you know what causes that?” and “Are they all yours?”

However, today was really different. Today, the checker was insistent on trying to offend me. I’ll lay out the discussion for you in conversation form:

Checker: Do you use these in place of bread? (as she rings up the many bags of tortillas)
Me: No, we bought all our bread last week, about 25 loaves.
Checker: Well I hope you freeze it!
Me: Of course we do, we only pull out a couple loaves at a time.
Checker: Why so much food?
Me: Because we go through one loaf when we make sandwiches for lunch.
Checker: Why? Do you have a lot of kids?
Me: Yes, we have seven children.
Checker: Are you foster parents? (People ask this because they can’t comprehend large families and think it’s a burden.)
Me: No, they’re all ours.
Checker: I ask because we have one lady who shops here and she has lots of kids and she’s a foster parent.
Me: No, they’re all ours.
Checker: Do you have any twins? (People ask this because they think children are a burden and certainly we didn’t choose to get pregnant that many times.)
Me: No, we don’t have any twins.
Checker: What are their ages? (People ask this because they’re trying to see if we have some older children from a prior marriage and some younger children together. I know families in this situation and they are also blessed with many blessings!)
Checker: Well, I always wanted a large family. (We hear this one all the time! They say this when all their other efforts to discount you have failed. She has turned to false sympathy.)

Children are a blessing from the Lord!
